It’s not drastically visible in the photos, but this stuff works. The photos with my hands gloved is 3 days before the posting of this review; his paws were almost purple in places and swollen. I am also using the wound care spray. His paws are less swollen and red. He is no longer obsessively licking and biting them.I use the spray after he comes in from outside, getting between his toes and pads. Once it dries I glove up my hands and work this cream into his paws, between his toes and pads. They are sensitive and he’s not too happy with me touching them. He has the start of a hot spot in his armpit and on the underside of his tail and I’m using the cream on those too. Every area I used the cream on has shown visible improvement. I’m very happy with this product and their spray. Finally my dog has relief from his irritated paws.
Our Jack Russell terrier mix battles with sensitive skin. We have him on special food despite my husband, feeding him crap all the time I would say about two months ago I think he had an encounter with poison ivy or something when he lifted his leg to pee. We have been battling that ever since. I ended up using aloe, which I found out. I should've been using oatmeal after the fact. So for the most part, it had healed up, but he started scratching it again a week ago, not sure why, I know he has some allergies which we give him an occasional expensive pill for. Anyway, I decided to search for something to put on that would maybe make him stop itching it without taking him to the vet because I have to drug him in order to get him to the vet. This Blue came up as highly rated so I read a bunch of the reviews and thought I would give it a shot. I honestly wish I would've taken a picture prior to doing it, but I never crossed my mind but within 24 hours which would've been only putting it on twice, Had already made it almost completely go away. He seems to like the feel of it going on and he has never licked it. I highly recommend And will be telling my friends about it because I can't believe how well it worked The photo would be of his left bottom leg area, I tried to avoid his privates, but he had the bad rash on both sides and a little on his belly next to his wee wee. It had been raised and crusty and inflamed the past week from him constantly scratching.
The package arrived. I opened and the content looks less than it should be. Perhaps quality control issue during the filling of the container.Update 8/19/24Seller will send me a new jar as the one I have may have been compromised. My dog loves being outside so he’s always getting hot spots. I used this on his chest and it worked over night to almost completely heal his scabs! And he actually loves the cooling affect too he enjoys when I rub it on I use it for a protective barrier too because it’s a nice thick gel
My dog has an auto immune skin disease that causes big open lesions and sores on her skin, which will swell so much that they burst and ooze clear liquid and then eventually start bleeding profusely. There is no cure for this except treatment with allergy medicine like apoquel and special diet. Both of which equal $$$$ for not Much result. Of course for a dog her size Apple quill is around $150 per month and it does not clear the issue at all. This is merely a treatment for the swelling, that the allergy in the skin causes. I often have to use additional things in order to help her not be in such discomfort. I am absolutely mind blown right now. She is 118 pound solid muscle pitbull who has extremely painful open sores covering both feet and back paws. Not only does she not let you touch her paws, but she definitely will not let you wrap them while applying medicine. After applying the first paw and wrapping it, she quickly laid down and FELL ASLEEP WHILE I WAS DOING IT. I could see the relief in her body and eyes. It has been 45 minutes since I applied it and her swollen, angry, oozing sores are a pale, light pink color. Absolutely speechless. I will update photos I’m 3 days after applying twice a day, keeping them wrapped for the first hour after application.Update: last photo is two weeks using it 2 times a day, 4 days a week. The hair is growing back, she is no longer chewing her paws bloody and the yeast that was prior, breeding profusely is no longer en mass. You can tell it has killed a lot of the issue externally bc the “corn chips” smell is very minor on her little toes now. This tub is small for the aggressive treatment I need but again, it’s STILL less than $150 bottle of apoquel and $144 bag of special dog food which she hates. Any wound I put it on, heals in 24-48 hours. I now have this on auto order every 12 days
I live in Florida. Our area is hot and moist and a breeding ground for pests. My indoor cats love running outside and picking up all sorts of fun new things. The eldest cat has been scratching miserably behind her ears for years and we have tried so many different things since moving here. Comfortis use to work at keeping fleas away, but this cat is getting too old for oral meds and we havent seen any this year. And she was still scratching up behind her ears.3 different products in combination are making a difference (although not recommended by product labels).Believe it or not that picture is the happiest face that cat has made ever.I used Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Antifungal Spray to really soak those wipes.The spray bottle says to spray the infected area.....on the fur... which makes me doubt they've ever applied it to a living cat...but I used common sense and those Jungle Wipes to pet it into the fur and avoid scratches from the cat. I throughly doused the Jungle Wipes with the spray. It took time, but I gently brushed her fur around her ears repeatedly until every little matted clump dissapeared. *I bribed her with lickable vitamin treats*The spray on the wipes does create some discoloration, white on the wipe, which is probably why they recommended not using with other products. But IDC.After cleaning the area very gently with these wipes and that spray we tried different topicals. I tried a few different ones, but the one that kept her soothed the longest is Blue Goop.Because her neck area is so sensitive, I didnt want to put a kitty cone on it so we have been careful watching for her to start scratching again. Several topicals would dry immediately and soothe her for a few hours. Blue Goop stays wet (looks like hair gel) for hours and the protection lasted the entire day until the next cleaning!Thanks for a good product, kitty showed improvement immediately. This past week she is purring more than she has in the 8 years since moving in with me!
03/02/21I’m giving this 4 stars for now as I’ve only had it for 3 days. On Sunday, I received all my new products so I gave him a very thorough bath and made sure to wash his paw very well. I then trimmed the hair around the top, where he keeps opening the scab. I believe it’s the slowest to heal because his hair was covering it and getting stuck to the wound so I also grabbed some clean tweezers and removed all the stuck hairs. Twice a day (sometimes three times a day), I’ll spray his paw with a antimicrobial cleanser and then I put on a thin but decent amount of this butter on top. The first night was great, I woke up in the morning and it was completely dry and beginning healing. But once I came home from work, my idiotic roommate forgot to put his cone back on after walking him so he licked it a little bit; however, not to the point it was bleeding. I noticed that even with his cone on his head, if the wound is wet at all, he’ll lick it by standing and looking completely down (he’s a big dog). So I’m three days into treating and I’m getting frustrated because scabbing is taking FOREVER. What I started doing yesterday was applying cleanser and butter, then taking him outside for a walk and waiting for everything to dry. He doesn’t try to lick it once everything is dry but I did also order some gauze and vet bandages so I can cover the wound and remove his cone for the hours that I’m home with him. We have been dealing with this wound since early January and nothing we’ve done has helped, but we’re FINALLY seeing progress with the cleanser and butter. I’ve also added in allergy chews but from reviews, they don’t start showing progress for a few weeks and we’ve had this cone on him for a couple weeks now trying to heal this spot. So all of the current progress is from these two products. I will update pictures as I take them!
My brother has a beagle and was having terrible problems with itching sent this to him on. I hope it would help and it stopped the itch after the first use he uses it regularly and loves it such a great relief thank you you highly recommend.
my lab had a hot-spot in the rear leg. by luck I came across this butter treatment, I applied in the morning and again at night, by the time I finished an over-priced 10 oz, bag of cheap coffee grind the dog hot-spot was cured.
I bought this 8 months ago… but when I received it… I came to the thought that nothing was going to help my dog’s constant licking. This morning my dog was licking incessantly at a spot, to where he made it raw. I put some of this cream on the dime-size spot that was raw, then had to go to work… I wasn’t expecting too much. 12 hours later he comes up to cuddle, I went to find the spot, but can’t find it! It’s gone! I am shocked… and thrilled… can’t wait to make this my regime for his issues!
Works pretty good and my dog doesn't lick it off right away.The blue hasn't stained my carpets.No burning sensation when applying.Helps the skin to heal and breath without drying out the skin.
Pricy and small amount for the price but works so well but a little goes a long way. Keeps my vet bills down and provides relief and fast healing for my fur babies
This product did not resolve the first hotspot we used it on, but it did provide our pooch with immediate relief and that’s a win for us! She actually relaxes when we put it on her. The second time we had a hot spot occur was just yesterday. It seems to be decreasing in size and is still offering her great relief! We caught the start of this one quicker so maybe that’s why this time it is doing a more thorough job at aiding healing. Regardless, it’s a great product for comfort and at the very least keeping the hotspot at bay. I’d recommend it!
My dog had a pretty good scrape on his side that he scratched open. It was swollen and lightly bleeding.. After shaving around the wound and cleaning him up, I followed directions and within hours the redness went away, the swelling went down and the next day it looked amazing! This is day 3 and it is healed up! Saved me a trip to the Vet! What a great product!! Thank you!
I used this on my dog. It seemed to be a good product but it stained my little girls sweater she had on. If your dog is wearing an expensive outfit don't put it on over this stuff. I never used it again, I bought something different.
I wish I would’ve bought this years ago! My dog has been suffering with itchy paws for years. I finally decided to get the hotspot because nothing else worked. Put it on three times and he’s no longer chewing or licking. I would definitely buy this product again.
I have a miniature schnauzer, he was having hotspots on his back. Before taking him to the vet, I decided to try this product. Within a week, they’ve all been disappeared. Really pleased with this results.
This product really works excellent for the money if your dog has like a problem with keep biting and scratching and itching himself and biting off his fur cuz he has like eczema or skin allergic reaction from like fleas or anything rub this all over as far I know it says hotspot but I put it all over his fur and then his hair grew back in within a couple weeks it actually works really good
She had chewed herself raw and to bleeding. The stuff the vet gave wasn’t working. This stuff worked immediately. I bathed her in the oatmeal and then wondercide shampoos. Then I applied this to her balding backside, even on her belly that was raw. It only took three days. It’s been two weeks and she has fur again and isn’t raw. This is now a must have for us.
